ROBIN HOOD was born long, long ago in Locksley town, not far from Nottingham. As a boy Robin worked in Sherwood Forest with his father, a forester who planted and nursed the trees in the King's woodlands. Robin’s popularity remained high, and in , Egan serialized a tale of Robin Hood which was published in as Robin Hood and Little John: or, the Merry Men of Sherwood Forest.
